Building Expertise
Ensuring quality therapeutic riding sessions is our priority! We turned to the International Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship and its mentors for training.
Having set the goal of providing free therapeutic riding to children with disabilities we had to ensure instructors are well trained. We chose the International Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH International) as an organization with a lot of experience and expertise the field.
The certification process with PATH International included gaining theoretical and practical knowledge from a PATH International certified instructor. The instructors received on-field training from Teresa Lloria, an expert with 20 years of experience in the field. Mrs Lloria runs a non-profit organization near Barcelona, Spain. She provides and is an expert both in therapeutic riding and hippotherapy.
